Interior Design

The profession is about creatively solving problems of human environments. Every interior and every component of every space you interact with was designed by someone. Interior design is an important part of our life and creates personality in a room. Important themes are the light, color, shadows, materials, shapes and furniture design in an ambient. Good interior design is not a luxury but a necessity. It can help to protect the environment, natural, and human resources, and make the world better place in which to live work and play.

At Raffles Design International students will study in the elements and principles of design, the history, theory and philosophy, and the sociological and psychological aspects of space provide the groundwork of all good interior design. They lead to in depth study of the technical, graphic, design process and studio techniques required to solve the design problems of today's complex interiors. General design principles are applied to specific interiors including restaurants, hotels, houses, offices, places of entertainment, shops and more. Combining your artistic sense with a technical proficiency, students will develop a firm foundation in color and position, drafting, drawing and critical thinking.
